QMA42  -  Improvement Summary

  • Compliant with all MS Windows operating systems - including Win 2000 & XP
  • Construct Protocols, Muscle Tests and muscle testing sequence as your needs
dictate and at your convenience - not at the discretion of a programmer.
  • All testing information is Protocol specific - You may have Multiple Sites / Multiple Protocols - test in any measuring unit –  Kgs, Lbs, or  Newtons.
  • Input your patient information in either English/ American or International format.
  • Construct different muscles to test and their sequence in unique protocols.
  • Begin Visit by Double Clicking on Patient Information -faster and easier test start.
  • Change Visit Number to meet requirements of protocol – pre-qualify can be
PQ001,  regular test – 00001 – automatically sequences from last digits
  • Protocols and Muscle tests have LONG file names; Left Elbow Extension is
no longer  “LELBEXT”, but is now Left Elbow Extension, or your designation.
  • Utility Included to change previously acquired QMA muscle tests to Long names -
Improve the ability to share database information, including normative data.
  • Extremity Weight for Hip Extension a Problem ? - NOT ANY MORE - Set the loaded weight or tare to zero, check zero and test. Measure the effort–not the extremity.
  • Stop a strength test at a predefined percentage from maximum, or disable the
stop test so multiple traces can be taken, or a full effort (curve) acquired.
  • Myatonia & Oppenheim's syndrome - Measure the back-slope of an effort / Create
Notes including the release point for reference - Query/export to Excel to analyze.
  • Variable fatigue modeling -explained with examples-you set the analytical ranges.
  • Increased data points per second and enhanced effort to time accuracy.
  • Corresponding time of effort and acquired data points displayed and associated directly.
  • View or print longitudinal patient's efforts of one or several muscles tested.
  • Print a summary of tests of a patient, may include referring physician and disease.

  • View patients visits - includes dates of visits and visit numbers

  • Calibration check of input devices simplified - about three minutes per device.

  • Calibration Log File - Upon checking calibration - builds a continuous calibration
log file that may be reviewed or printed. Contains date and time of calibration, etc.

  • Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - Need to check Height and Weight each visit ? -
Build these as "Other" Tests, and enter the data at each visit.

  • Virtually paperless testing -  Reject a trial within the test including annotation -

  • Make NOTES as needed – anytime during the testing process.

  • Time tests within the program - need to time an event (3 stair climb) ? - use the "stopwatch" inside qma.

  • Transfer MMT information to QMA in "Other" Tests - reduce paper to your statisticians.

  • Compile, Query, and Export acquired qma42 data to MS EXCEL for analysis. Compatible with Office 2000.

  • New and updated USER MANUAL available with QMA 42 – with Notes and Hints.

    Optional
    Equipment and software now available

  • Test with multiple input devices (two to five max) – from 1.1 lbf to 1000 lbf. – reduces time testing – eliminates switching input devices from head to foot.

  • QMA Software Converter for previously acquired data (qma v1.1 – 3.4) and (qma 4.0, 4.1) to file format of QMA42 – permits data to be queried and exported to MS Excel.

  • Pinch test input device now available – 50 lbf capacity - +.05 % max error.
  • Hand Held Myometry input equipment with integrated remote switch now available -
    50 or 100 lbf capacity -  +.05 % max error.
